The Economic Costs of Uninsured Children

This Child Watch column released on August 21, 2009, by Marion Wright Edelman, was based on the Rice University Baker Institute report on “The Economic Impact of Uninsured Children on America”; the central message of the column is that investing in children’s health insurance is the economically smart thing to do, as the Baker Institute study pointed out, as well as being the morally right thing to do.
